On Thursday, an ambulance collided with a bus in Hebri, leading to significant damage. Suleman, 53, a resident of Varanga village, filed a complaint detailing the incident. He stated that he had parked the bus at the Durga High School garage stop in Kukkundoor village, Karkala taluk, to drop off passengers. As he was moving the bus forward, an ambulance coming from the Ajekar side, reportedly speeding and driving recklessly, crashed into the right front side of the bus.

The impact caused the ambulance to lose control, slamming into a nearby electricity pole, which was snapped upon impact. The ambulance came to a halt on the road, severely mangled. The collision caused damage to the right side of the bus driver’s door and its bumper. The broken electricity pole also added to the disruption.

A case has been registered at the Karkala Town police station, and investigations are ongoing.
