The private institution, situated close to MGM College Ground, received an email warning about a potential bomb blast. In response, school authorities immediately evacuated over 600 students, directing them to a safe assembly area on the school grounds.
The Udupi police, on high alert, swiftly arrived at the site, bringing a canine unit to conduct a detailed search of the school building and its surroundings. Fortunately, no explosives were discovered during the inspection, reassuring the public.
As a precautionary measure, other nearby schools also evacuated their students, although no immediate threat was found. The local police have initiated an investigation to track the sender of the email and determine the motive behind the false alarm.
Thanks to the quick actions of the school staff and police, all students were safely relocated without any harm. The authorities are continuing their inquiry into the source of the bomb threat.
