Shivaprasad, a private bus operator, is absconding after his wife, Manjula, filed a police report alleging dowry-related harassment and financial deceit.

The couple, married since 2014, has two young sons. Manjula’s family claims they were compelled to give gold jewelry as dowry and bear the expenses of the wedding. According to the complaint, Shivaprasad used the gold as collateral for securing a bus lease and obtaining large loans.

Manjula has further alleged that her husband is involved in an extramarital relationship, leading to neglect of her and their children. She accuses him of leaving them in financial distress while subjecting her to mental and physical abuse.

The police have initiated a manhunt for Shivaprasad, who has gone into hiding following the accusations. Authorities are investigating the claims to ensure justice for the victim.

This case highlights the persistent issue of dowry exploitation and domestic violence in society, urging stronger measures to protect vulnerable women and children from such injustices.
