Udupi: The fourth edition of the ‘Canara Freedom Run-2025’ will be held in Manipal on August 10, announced event coordinator Sachin Shetty at a press meet.

Organized by the Canara Bank Circle Office, Manipal, the run is being held in honor of India’s soldiers, commemorating the spirit of Independence Day. The event is expected to draw around 5,000 participants.

The marathon features four race categories:

  • 21 km Half Marathon

  • 10 km Run

  • 5 km Run

  • 3 km Fun Run

    • All races will flag off from the Canara Bank Circle Office in Manipal. The route will pass through TAPMI, Parkala, Athradi, and loop back to the Canara Bank office.

    To encourage wider participation, the organizers have announced a prize pool of ₹5 lakh for top performers. Participants can register via email at admin@freedomrunmanipal.com or by visiting any Canara Bank branch.

    Event coordinators Durga Prasad, Vishal Singh, Suraj Uppur, and Rohit were also present at the briefing.
