The discovery of three animal carcasses on Lighthouse Beach in Gangolli village on the evening of October 30 has raised serious suspicions of illegal cow slaughter. The animals were found stuffed in a gunny bag, with various parts scattered across the beach, igniting outrage among local residents who suspect ongoing illegal activities.

Members of the Hindu Jagaran Vedike arrived at the scene, alleging that such acts are being carried out to provoke Hindu sentiments during religious festivals. They have called on authorities to identify and take strict legal action against those responsible for the illegal slaughter and disposal of animal remains in the sea. The community expressed frustration, noting that despite previous appeals for action, no effective measures have been taken, escalating their anger.

This incident marks the third reported case of such nature along the Gangolli coastline in the past four to five months. Local police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
