An unidentified man stole a gold chain from Usha Lakshmi Jewellery in Karkala on the afternoon of September 11. The incident took place around 3 PM when the man visited the store, owned by Amit, a 46-year-old from Kukkundoor village, near the Muru Marga junction in Karkala Kasaba village. He requested to see a gold beaded chain, weighing 7.630 grams. While the staff briefly stepped inside, the man vanished, along with the chain.
The shop owner immediately lodged a complaint, and the Karkala City Police have begun an investigation. The theft was recorded on the store’s CCTV camera, aiding efforts to identify the culprit.
