In response to heavy rainfall and a rain alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan has ordered the closure of schools and Pre-university colleges on Tuesday, July 9. The decision applies to all Anganwadis, government, aided, and private primary, high schools, and Pre-University colleges across DK district.
The order aims to ensure the safety of students and staff as the region anticipates adverse weather conditions. The closure is a precautionary measure to avoid any risks associated with commuting during inclement weather.
Authorities have advised residents to stay indoors and take necessary precautions during this period of heightened rainfall. The district administration continues to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as necessary.
