A tragic hit-and-run accident near Moolur on NH-66 claimed the life of a 21-year-old man and left another with severe injuries on Tuesday night.

Fatal crash on highway

The victims, Pratheesh Prasad (21) and Nihal Wilson (29), were traveling from Kaup to Padubidri when an unidentified vehicle struck their two-wheeler and fled the scene.

Emergency response and investigation

Passersby alerted authorities, and emergency responders rushed the victims to a hospital. Sadly, Pratheesh succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical attention. Nihal remains critical with multiple injuries, including a fracture.

Search for the culprit

Police are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas but have yet to identify the vehicle responsible. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
