Kaup police successfully apprehended Ashmath Ali (35) at Kannur International Airport in Kerala after he had been evading authorities overseas following his release on bail. In 2019, Ali was charged at Kaup police station for recording a video of unnatural acts, leading to significant legal troubles.

Following the charges, he was granted bail by the second ACJ and JMFC court of Udupi on September 6, 2019. However, Ali’s legal woes continued, as an arrest warrant was issued against him a staggering 18 times due to his failure to comply with court proceedings.

On October 21, acting on a tip-off about his whereabouts, police conducted surveillance at the airport and apprehended him upon his return. The successful operation highlights the dedication of Kaup police in tracking down individuals evading justice and reinforces their commitment to upholding the law.

Authorities have reiterated the importance of compliance with legal obligations, warning that fleeing from justice can lead to further legal consequences. Ali’s case now moves forward as he faces the repercussions of his actions.
