Udupi — Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar has said that everyone must respect and adhere to the court’s decision regarding the cancellation of bail for actor Darshan and six others accused in the Renukaswamy murder case. Speaking in Udupi, she emphasised that those who believe in the Constitution must bow to the court’s verdict, which has been given in the interest of justice.
On the ministerial post demand for K.N. Rajanna’s son, Hebbalkar stated that in a democracy, everyone has the right to fight for their aspirations. However, she stressed that the party’s high command has the final say, and all members must abide by its decisions.
Addressing the Grihalakshmi scheme payments, the minister clarified that June and July payments had been delayed, but funds for June were released around five to six days ago, ensuring beneficiaries received the money ahead of the Varalakshmi festival. She added that July’s instalment will be credited within the next 15 days, ideally before Ganesh Chaturthi, to benefit families during the festive season.
Hebbalkar, who is in Udupi after authorising the June payment, assured that the government remains committed to timely disbursal of welfare funds.
