Udupi– A quick response and punctual monitoring by the Sign-in Security Company staff successfully foiled a robbery attempt at the Areshirur branch of Kollur Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Sangha in the early hours of Saturday.

The incident occurred around 2:42 am, when two miscreants arrived at the branch and began tampering with the external bulb and attempted to cut through the window grill using a gas cutter. Fortunately, live CCTV monitoring staff from Sign-in Security immediately detected the suspicious activity and alerted the police without delay.

As the miscreants began cutting the grill at approximately 2:47 am, security staff also notified the society’s head office. Despite being advised to wait for police, a society vehicle reached the spot ahead of law enforcement, alerting the thieves through noise and prompting them to flee just minutes before the police arrived.

Circle Inspector Savithra Tej, Station House Officer Timmesh, and their team arrived within 15 minutes, but the culprits had already escaped. The proactive vigilance of the Sign-in Security team ensured that a potentially major heist was averted.

This incident underlines the importance of real-time monitoring and coordination between private security and law enforcement.
