Union Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accepted a Rs 1.30 crore bribe via cheque to secure stewardship for an individual at the prestigious Bangalore Turf Club. She claimed the CM facilitated Vivekananda’s membership at the club in exchange for the bribe.
Karandlaje further criticized Siddaramaiah for filing a B-report (closure report) on the case, which was rejected by the court twice. She questioned his integrity, accusing him of being involved in multiple scams, including those related to the Valmiki Tribal Board and MUDA.
Karandlaje urged the Congress party to seek Siddaramaiah’s resignation, highlighting his alleged history of shutting down the Lokayukta to evade corruption cases when he assumed power in 2013.
