udupi: Fire and Emergency Services personnel carried out a timely rescue operation after a peacock fell into a well at Katapadi Kote on Monday evening, September 14. The bird was safely brought out of the well following the coordinated efforts of the fire service team.
The incident was reported to the Udupi fire service personnel after locals noticed that the peacock had fallen into a well near Katapadi Kote. Responding promptly to the information, a team of firefighters reached the location and began efforts to rescue the bird.
Firefighter descends into well to rescue bird
The rescue operation required one of the firefighters to descend into the well and carefully reach the trapped peacock.
Fire service personnel Mahabaleshwar entered the well and played a key role in catching the bird safely. He then helped bring the peacock out of the well without causing injury to it.
The operation was carried out with care, considering the confined space and the need to handle the bird safely. The coordinated response ensured that the peacock was rescued without suffering any harm.
Six fire service personnel take part
Six personnel from the Udupi Fire and Emergency Services participated in the rescue operation. The team included Ashwin Sunil, Mahabaleshwar, Nagesh Poojary, Sudhir, Amar and Ganesh.
Their combined efforts helped complete the rescue successfully. The timely response of the team prevented the bird from remaining trapped in the well for a prolonged period.
