Udupi: A case has been filed at the Udupi City Police Station against Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sharan Pumpwell for allegedly making inflammatory comments related to a recent cow slaughter case in Kunjalu.

According to the complaint, Sharan Pumpwell addressed a press conference where he reportedly made statements intended to disrupt communal harmony and public order. The remarks, made before the investigation into the incident was concluded, are said to have stirred public unrest and incited religious hatred.

Authorities have registered the case based on these allegations, citing potential threats to peace and unity in the region.
