A 55-year-old woman, Shantha, from Hanumantha Nagar, Udupi, sustained critical injuries after losing her footing and tumbling while alighting from a bus near Puttur, Udupi. She suffered a severe fracture in her right arm and was found unconscious at the scene.

Witnesses immediately sprang into action, ensuring she was rushed to the hospital in the same bus she was traveling in. Upon arrival, medical professionals administered urgent treatment to stabilize her condition.

Social worker Vishu Shetty, who played a key role in the rescue, confirmed that Shantha is now recovering and no longer in a critical state.

Local traffic authorities and her family have been informed about the mishap. Officials are looking into the circumstances that led to the accident.
