A group that befriended young ladies in the coastal districts of Uttara Kannada and Udupi, took pictures of them pretending to be in love, edited the pictures into pornographic images, and then used the images to threaten and rape the victims has been apprehended by the police. Three cops were hurt as the accused threw stones at the police during the arrest. One accomplice, a woman, was able to get away.

The police attempted to use a warrant to arrest the accused in Malali village, Sirsi taluk, Uttara Kannada district. The individuals are connected to several fraud and rape instances that have occurred in the state’s coastal areas. It was shocking to discover that the primary accused’s mother had participated in her son’s illegal actions.

In the rape case, Arjun, also known as Arjun Laxman Gowda, 27, is the primary accused. In addition to facing new accusations under the IT Act at the Sirsi police station, he has been charged with rape at the Banavasi police station. In addition, a case has been filed against him at the Udupi district’s Kundapura police station. Arjun flirted with stunning girls from the coast on social media, got their phone numbers, and utilized video conversations to establish personal ties.

After that, Arjun would sneakily snap pictures of the women, sometimes even in intimate settings, when they were out on dates. He would manipulate the women into engaging in repeated sexual practices by manipulating these pictures into lewd pictures.

Balachandra Gowda, his relative, helped with the plot and also used blackmail to extract money from a few victims. It has been stated that Arjun’s mother, Nagaveni Laxman Gowda, approved of their illegal actions.

While making an arrest, police attacked

Three police officers from the Banavasi police station were hurt during the attack by Arjun Gowda and his relatives, using stones and house tiles. The injured cops are K Jagadeesha, P Manjappa, and D Manjunath Naduvinamane, who are currently being treated in a hospital.

Arjun Gowda was apprehended by the police in spite of his resistance. But Balachandra Gowda was apprehended and taken to the hospital after attempting to flee by eating rat poison. Gowda Nagaveni Laxman is still on the loose.

The Sirsi Rural Police Station has received a case, and an investigation is currently underway.
