Vijayapura:  A massive public meeting and peace march of 5 lakh Buddhists is scheduled to take place in Patna, Bihar, on September 17, in protest against the BT Act 1947 (BTMC). This event is organised by the All India Buddhist Forum and various Buddhist organisations.

Venkatesh Magyanavara, State Coordinator of the All India Buddhist Forum, emphasised that the central and state governments should address the injustice and fully hand over the Buddha Vihara to Buddhists. He argued that Buddhism is an integral part of Hinduism and that Lord Buddha is considered an avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Magyanavara highlighted that intellectuals and followers of Ambedkar have extended their support to the public meeting. A preliminary meeting was held in Bengaluru on September 8, and leaders from various state organisations will participate in the September 17 event.

Buddha Vihara Committee President Rajasekhara Yadahalli, Basavaraja Holakar, and Channu Kattimani were present at the press conference, showing their solidarity with the cause.

This massive gathering aims to draw attention to the injustices faced by Buddhists and demands action from the government.
