The sad and unfortunate plight of Sadhana in the later years of her life as she battled illness and court cases has now come to fore.
Old friend and former actor Tabassum, who was bereaved and heartbroken at the funeral today, told the media how Sadhana spent her last few days unhappy and frustrated with little or no help coming from the industry.
Said Tabassum, “She was very ill and very sad. None from the industry bothered to help her. People from Bollywood come in trooping when there is some celebration but they never bother to find out what is happening in someone’s life. Are they happy or not.”
Revealing more about how film industry deserted Sadhana, Tabassum said, “She requested many from the industry to help her as she couldn’t handle her failing health and legal matters but none came forward. She didn’t have any relatives. Seeing that none from the industry is coming forward, she even requested her fans to help her. But regret that there was nobody to help her.”
Sadhana’s funeral saw yesteryear film personalites turning up to bid her good-bye. Among those spotted were Salim Khan, Helen, Hiroo Johar, Deepti Naval, Asha Parekh, Poonam Sinha, Annu Kapoor and others.
