New York: When in New York, do as the Yankees do! This is exactly what Australia skipper Steve Smith seems to have been doing on his trip to the United States.
In a country where baseball has a fan following, Smith swapped his rectangular willow to the more cylindrical bat that is used in baseball, taking guard over the plates, instead of in front of the stumps.
The Aussie swung a few meaty blows, as some balls were hurled at him. Interestingly, Smith, who has an unconventional shuffle in his batting stance, showed slight signs of the same in his newfound sport as well.
To everyone’s surprise however, Smith even went on to turn around and take a left-handed stance by the plate. While he edged the first delivery when batting left handed, he comfortably dispatched the second one, for what looked like, a home run.
