If you think your job is tough, think about the man who has been sacked for blocking the view of Kim Jong-un’s neck just for 3 seconds. Yes. The official photographer Kim Jong-un lost his job because he mistakenly stood in front of the supreme leader for 3 seconds, thereby blocking him from the crowd’s view.
The incident took place when Kim Jong-un was making a public appearance during North Korea’s elections on March 10. According to a DailyMail, the photographer was fired after he scrambled for better pictures of Kim Jong-un.
Pyongyang sources said the man was guilty of ‘adjusting the angle so that the camera’s flash covered the Dear and Respected Supreme Leader Comrade’s neck’.
The photographer was also blamed for banning photography within two meters of Kim Jong-un and prohibiting videos and pictures from being taken directly in front of the supreme leader.
The man, identified as Ri, was dismissed from the Workers’ Party of Korea and was also reduced to a second class citizen of North Korea.
Interestingly, the photographer is the same man who took pictures during Kim Jong-un’s meeting with US President Donald Trump in Hanoi last month.
The mistake happened when Kim Jong-un was waving at the crowd after casting his vote and Ri mistakenly stepped in front of him to take a picture.
A picture of Ri standing in front of Kim Jong-un has now gone viral on social media.
