Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a man who planned the murder of his wife got injured and was admitted to hospital in Sultanpur on Saturday.
According to a ETV report, accused, Yasir had conspired with a group of young men to kill his wife, Mehsar Jahan, so he could collect on the life insurance policy amount.
The incident came to light on Sunday, when the police arrested two shooters identified as Ayodhya Prasad and Sadiq Ali on the basis of Yasir’s mobile phone calls history. Investigation revealed that they were hired by him to kill Mehsar Jahan.
They told the police that Yasir had planned the murder of his wife and shown her to the killers earlier. They were given an amount of Rs 4,000 and promised that the rest of the money i.e. Rs 40,000 will be given after he get the insurance money.
But the irony of the situation is that Yasir suffered the bullet injury in place of his wife as shooters missed their target.
On December 10, as per the plan Yasir was going to his relative house along with his wife and two kids when the ‘hired’ shooters attacked the couple near Domanpur canal and looted Mehsar Jahan’s jewellery. They opened fire at her but mistakenly Yasir got the bullet injury and Mehsar Jahan escaped unhurt. However, they again targeted her and opened fire but failed and fled the scene after she raised the alarm due to which some villagers gathered at the spot.
Meanwhile, police have commenced the investigation into the case and filed cased against Yasir for conspiring against his wife. However, the criminals who were hired have been sent to jail.
