Self-styled godman Rampal demands TV, books in jail

Hisar: Self-styled godman Rampal and his supporters who are held in Barwala jail were produced before a court for contempt and other cases filed against them under sections 426, 427, 430 and 443. The court announced the next hearing in the case will be held on December 5.

Rampal’s supporters were even seen bowing to him during the hearing.

Witness Hawaldar Shamsher Singh appeared before court to present his argument in the case under section 427. The other witness Sukhdev Singh could not appear and was told to be present for the next hearing on December 5.

The self-styled Godman who is in jail for the past one year demanded that he should be provided television and religious books as he is unable to pass time in the lockup.
