A wild elephant has been causing chaos in Pernaje Muger, Sullia, destroying farmlands and uprooting coconut, areca, and betel nut trees. Local farmers are reeling from the damage caused by the elephant’s rampage.
This incident is part of a growing trend of elephant sightings in the area. Just recently, two elephants were seen roaming the Savanur and Kathara regions of Puttur before moving toward Alleppey in Kerala.
The forest department has been notified, and efforts are ongoing to track the elephant’s movements and prevent further destruction.
