Two nurses from a Sydney hospital have been suspended after a disturbing video surfaced, showing them making threats against Israeli patients. The footage, widely denounced by political leaders, has triggered investigations by NSW Health and police.

The video, originally shared by Israeli content creator Max Veifer, features two individuals in NSW Health uniforms. During the conversation, a man claiming to be a doctor states, “I’m so upset you’re Israeli. Eventually, you’re going to get killed and go to hell.” When Veifer asks how they would treat an Israeli patient, a woman responds, “I won’t treat them, I will kill them.” The man adds, “I sent many [Israelis] to hell.”

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the footage “sickening and shameful”, while NSW Health Minister Ryan Park condemned the behavior as “vile and appalling.” The individuals, identified as nurses from Bankstown Hospital, have been immediately stood down. Park assured there was no place for such views in healthcare and vowed they would never work for NSW Health again.

NSW Health Secretary Susan Pearce, visibly emotional, apologized to the Jewish community, calling the incident “horrendous.” Investigations are underway, with police reviewing CCTV footage to determine where the video was filmed.
