In a world of endless scrolling, a short video of a baby elephant has managed to pause the internet — not with spectacle, but with sheer innocence.
The clip, recently shared by R. Madhavan on his Instagram story, shows a tiny elephant calf wandering up to a roadside vegetable stall with gentle curiosity.
A polite visitor at the stall
In the now-viral footage, the calf approaches the neatly arranged greens, raises its trunk and gives a soft nudge — almost as if making a polite request. The vegetable seller, visibly amused, picks up a handful of fresh greens and offers them to the little visitor.
The elephant gently takes the leaves in its trunk and munches contentedly. Moments later, it turns and dashes back towards its mother, trunk swinging playfully as the vendor laughs in delight.
The video, originally uploaded by Bijni Buzz, has since been widely shared across platforms, with many viewers calling it a “pure serotonin boost”.
Cinema and real-life joy
Madhavan, who frequently shares uplifting content with fans, is currently preparing for the sequel to his film Dhurandhar. Speaking recently about the craze surrounding the first instalment, he highlighted how audiences often go to great lengths to experience films in theatres, valuing the collective energy of cinema.
The baby elephant clip, however, reminds viewers that sometimes the most powerful moments are unscripted — small acts of kindness, spontaneous laughter and the simple bond between humans and animals.
In a few seconds of footage, a humble roadside stall became the setting for a global smile.
