Dhaka: A 25-year-old suspect, who attempted to hijack the Dubai-bound Bangladesh plane named Biman, is now arrested by the Bangladeshi security forces, here on Sunday, February 24.
Air Vice Marshall Mofid confirmed that the flight landed safely and that the passengers too were out of danger.
According to the Civil Aviation Chief of Bangladesh, Nayeem Hasan, the suspect had also claimed that he had a bomb with him.
Meanwhile, a pistol has been recovered from the suspect, which was later confirmed by Air Vice Marshall Mofid to the media personnel.
The information of the suspect is not yet confirmed but Nayeem Hasan has said that the suspect was found psychologically unstable through his talks.
As the flight BG147 landed safely at Chittagong Airport in southeastern Bangladesh, army, navy and police forces had surrounded the flight in order to evacuate the people from the flight to a safe zone.
