Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially engaged, marking a new chapter in their long-running love story. On Monday, Rodríguez, 31, confirmed the news via Instagram, posting a photo of a dazzling ring with the caption in Spanish, “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

The couple first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina worked as a sales assistant. Their brief encounter soon blossomed into a relationship, which they made public in early 2017. Since then, they have built a close-knit family, welcoming daughters Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while Georgina has embraced the role of raising Ronaldo’s three other children.

Their journey has seen moments of joy and heartbreak, including the loss of one of their newborn twins, a boy, in 2022.

Born in Argentina and raised in the Spanish town of Jaca, Georgina trained as a dancer before moving to Madrid. She transitioned from retail jobs to modelling and entrepreneurship, starring in fashion campaigns, launching business ventures, and appearing in her Netflix reality series I Am Georgina, which offered fans an intimate look at her life.

Now dividing their time between Europe and Saudi Arabia — where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr after an illustrious career at clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United — the couple’s engagement answers the question fans have long been asking. Ronaldo proposed, Georgina said yes, and their love story moves into its next chapter.
