Dubai Announces Golden Visas for Exceptional Educators on World Teachers' Day

In a significant move aimed at recognising and rewarding outstanding educators, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, has announced the granting of Golden Visas to exceptional teachers in Dubai’s private education sector. This initiative, unveiled on October 5 to coincide with World Teachers’ Day, underscores the vital role educators play in shaping the future of the emirate and aligns with Dubai’s broader educational ambitions.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the invaluable contributions of teachers, stating, “On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all teachers and educators. We deeply value their mission and the invaluable role they play in shaping minds, nurturing future generations, and driving the progress of nations.” This sentiment reflects a strong commitment to recognising the dedication and achievements of educators, who not only influence the present but also lay the foundation for a prosperous future.

The announcement also aligns with the newly launched Education 33 strategy, which aims to enhance the quality of education and position Dubai as a leading destination for educators globally. The decision to award Golden Visas to exceptional educators follows the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who recently established Emirati Day for Education, to be celebrated annually on February 28. This day is intended to honour the contributions of all individuals working within the education sector, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to educational excellence.
