Europol has taken down Kidflix, one of the world’s largest paedophile networks, in a massive operation spanning 35 countries. Authorities arrested 79 suspects, some of whom are believed to have abused children themselves.
German and Dutch investigators seized the platform’s central server, which stored 72,000 explicit videos at the time of the raid. In total, 91,000 unique videos had been uploaded and streamed since Kidflix’s launch in 2021, attracting 1.8 million users worldwide.
Unlike typical illegal platforms, Kidflix allowed video streaming and operated on a cryptocurrency-based token system, where users earned tokens by uploading material, verifying content, and categorizing videos.
Authorities have identified 1,400 suspects and rescued 39 children through this crackdown, making it Europol’s largest-ever operation against child sexual exploitation.
