Police in Italy have reported the discovery of a deceased woman inside an abandoned church in the Aosta Valley, located in northern Italy. The 22-year-old woman, originally from France, was found with significant blood loss. Authorities believe she had embarked on a quest to explore a reputedly haunted house, driven by an interest in the supernatural.
Prior to her departure from her hometown near Lyon, the woman had informed her family of her intentions, according to a spokesperson from the police department in La Salle. Investigators are considering the possibility that her demise could be linked to her participation in a social media challenge related to ghost hunting, possibly for content on the TikTok platform.
Various theories are being explored, including the potential for prearranged harm, a staged event for social media, or an earnest endeavor to investigate paranormal activity within the abandoned church. Law enforcement is actively seeking a young male believed to have been accompanying her. Moreover, there are ongoing investigations into two other missing persons cases in the vicinity that may have connections to this incident.
Witnesses have reported seeing the victim and a male companion in the area, both dressed in a manner resembling vampires. Descriptions provided to the police indicate that the man had dark features while the woman appeared visibly pale and frail. She was found wearing specific clothing, and nearby her body were items she had recently purchased from a local store.
Further inquiries are being conducted by local authorities, including an examination of security footage that captured the presence of a particular burgundy-colored van near the abandoned church in the days leading up to the discovery of the deceased woman.
This incident follows a recent tragedy involving a well-known TikTok personality known as “Tzane,” who passed away in Italy after falling from a balcony during a trip with fellow content creators. Christos Koyas, one of the individuals present during the trip, confirmed the unfortunate news of “Tzane’s” demise.
