Istanbul: American singer/songwriter Captain Beefheart once said, “You can tell by the kindness of a dog how a human should be.” It is true that dogs understand emotions and show immense love towards humans. At the same time, they are very expressive in communicating what they feel, be it pain or happiness. Exemplifying this, a dog has walked by itself to a pharmacy and shown its bleeding paw to pharmacist Banu Cengiz.
A video of it was shot and uploaded on June 21, in which one can see that the street dog gently keeps its paw on Banu’s hand and asks her to treat it. She then cleans the wounded paw, applies medicine and provides food and water.
Speaking to an American online publisher focused on animals and animal rights issues, ‘The Dodo’, she said that once she got the dog treated, it had laid down in a position as if it was thanking her and saying that it trusted her.
The video has now gone viral on Twitter, inviting massive response through comments and engagements.
