A massive child exploitation network operating under the name Kidflix has been brought down in a sweeping international operation, Metro reported. The dark web platform, active since 2021, hosted around 72,000 videos of horrific child sexual abuse — including material involving infants and toddlers.

Before its takedown on March 11, 2025, Kidflix had gained over 1.8 million users. Authorities have arrested 79 individuals and identified more than 1,400 other suspects, including direct perpetrators of abuse. One of the most disturbing arrests involved a 36-year-old man who allegedly offered his own son for abuse. Another key suspect is a serial abuser from the United States.

Operation Stream, spearheaded by German police, is being hailed as one of the most significant victories in the global fight against child pornography. The mission involved 36 nations, including the UK, and uncovered a platform that allowed users to stream, download, and upload abusive content at alarming rates — 3.5 new videos per hour, many previously unknown to law enforcement.

Kidflix operated using cryptocurrencies and a token-based system that rewarded users for categorizing or uploading content, revealing a disturbingly organized and profit-driven structure.

As part of the investigation, 96 interventions were made to shield children from harm. In 12 of those, active abuse was stopped, resulting in 39 children being rescued.

Authorities have vowed to continue tracking down offenders and dismantling similar operations.
