Seoul: Several speculations are making rounds with regard to the health of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
While some claim that the leader is in coma, other reports claim that Kim Jong is dead and his sister Kim Yo-jong will be exercising de facto control over national and international matters.
Rumours of the death of the North Korean leader started surfacing when he was not seen in the public for a few weeks.
“I assess him (Kim Jong Un) to be in a coma, but his life has not ended,” he was quoted as saying by The Korea Herald. “A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo-jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period,” a former aide of South Korea’s late President Kim Dae-jung said.
As rumours of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s health continued to do the rounds, the country released footage of the leader attending official programmes.
A journalist, Roy Calley, who has travelled the country, said he believes Kim Jong-un is dead.
He also remembered the time when Kim Jong-il had died. The announcement was made months after his death. He said the matter will be clarified when his sister takes charge.
