Vatican City: Pope Leo XIV has appointed Sr Maria Nirmalini, A.C., as a Consultor of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, entrusting her with a five-year term of service to the universal Catholic Church.
The appointment was formally communicated through a Vatican document issued by the Secretariat of State on June 18, 2026. The decree confirmed Sr Nirmalini’s appointment as one of the Consultors who will assist the Dicastery in carrying out its mission across the global Church.

As a Consultor, Sr Nirmalini will contribute her expertise to the Dicastery responsible for matters concerning religious institutes, consecrated life and societies of apostolic life.
