Shakira, who recently kicked off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, was rushed to the hospital due to severe abdominal pain, forcing her to delay her Peru concert. The 48-year-old singer took to social media to inform fans that she had been admitted to the emergency room on Saturday night and remained under medical supervision.

Doctors advised against her performance, deeming her unfit to take the stage. Expressing deep disappointment, Shakira reassured fans that her team was actively working on a rescheduled date. “I love you all and appreciate your understanding,” she wrote.

If her recovery progresses well, Shakira hopes to be discharged by Monday and continue her tour as planned, with Peru as her next stop before heading to Colombia.

The Grammy-winning artist began her tour on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, shortly after securing the Best Latin Pop Album award. However, her tour has sparked controversy, with online debates drawing comparisons to Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, citing similarities in stage design and aesthetics.

Despite the temporary setback, Shakira remains optimistic and is eager to return to the stage, backed by unwavering global support from her fans.
