Surat-based Vispy Kharadi, a renowned Indian athlete, has set a Guinness World Record for the longest duration holding Hercules pillars (male), showcasing exceptional strength and endurance.

Breaking Barriers

Mr. Kharadi gripped the massive Hercules pillars, each 123 inches tall, with a diameter of 20.5 inches, weighing 166.7 kg and 168.9 kg. He held them for an astonishing 2 minutes and 10.75 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Defying Stereotypes

Addressing his record-breaking feat, Mr. Kharadi took a stand against the belief that Indians are genetically weaker than global athletes. “Many claim Indians lack natural strength, but I proved otherwise,” he stated.

Emphasizing the challenge, he remarked, “The Hercules Hold is beyond what an average person can attempt. While I respect the previous record holder, I pushed my limits and set a new global benchmark.”

A Victory for India

“This achievement isn’t just mine—it’s a statement for every Indian ever doubted. We are not inferior. We possess world-class strength, and now the world knows that when an Indian is determined, he prevails,” he declared.

Global Recognition

The Guinness World Records released a video capturing Mr. Kharadi’s feat. The achievement even caught the eye of Elon Musk, who reshared the video from Guinness’ official X account, further amplifying his recognition.
