Dubai: New York-headquartered Tetr College of Business has expanded its global footprint by welcoming its second undergraduate batch at an orientation programme in Dubai on September 1. The new class of 200 students from 50 countries builds on the momentum of its inaugural 2024 cohort of 110 students.
Global learning across seven regions
The four-year undergraduate programme is designed to take students beyond traditional classrooms. It spans seven regions — the US, Europe, Dubai, India, Singapore, Ghana, and Argentina — where students gain practical exposure. They will launch hardware products in Singapore, explore Silicon Valley’s technology ecosystem, and build direct-to-consumer (D2C) ventures in India.
College founder Pratham Mittal highlighted the outcomes of the first cohort. “Students have built 44 real ventures in their first year and raised funding from investors. Building a multi-country institution is a good learning experience. This will help us strengthen our programmes for the new batch,” he said.
Success of the first cohort
The inaugural batch set the foundation for Tetr’s ‘learning by doing’ approach. Within the first year, students generated revenues of over $300,000. Startups such as ServeClub (pickleball gear) and CosMoss (sea moss-based supplements) raised angel investments from entrepreneurs like Manish Poddar of Rare Rabbit and Malika Sadani of The Moms Co.
Diversity in the second batch
The Class of 2025 reflects a blend of innovation and leadership, with students representing varied cultural and academic backgrounds.
- 34% from South Asia
- 26% from Central and Latin America
- 21% from the US and Europe
- 11% from the Middle East and North Africa
- Remainder from Southeast Asia
Chief Operating Officer Tarun Gangwar said, “This year, students include startup entrepreneurs, STEM innovators, international athletes, and social-impact leaders.” The cohort has 35% female representation and spans fields such as science, economics, commerce, and liberal arts.
Industry leaders at the ceremony
The Dubai orientation featured dignitaries including Dr Edward Rogers, former Chief Knowledge Officer at NASA; Sven Herzing, CTO of talabat; Jeff Stratchan, AVP at Dubai Economy and Tourism; and Tania Mykhaulik, VP at Bayzat.
Conclusion
With a strong foundation in entrepreneurial education and practical exposure across continents, Tetr College of Business is positioning itself as a new-age global institution. By embedding real-world venture creation into its curriculum, it aims to nurture future leaders who can thrive in diverse markets.
