Billy D’Souza, a 32-year-old father from Southampton, has gone viral once again on TikTok—this time for spending £275 on 16 luxury Easter eggs to highlight the soaring cost of chocolate. Known online as Big Daddy Bs Foods, D’Souza entertains his 108,000+ followers by reviewing pricey treats and giving them scores based on chocolate quality, flavour, and value for money.
Last year, he spent a whopping £550 on 21 Easter eggs, drawing in over 4.2 million views. He began the series to help families make smarter spending decisions amid rising prices. “The cost of living is through the roof. Not everyone can afford to waste money on chocolate,” he said. “This is just a way to show people what they’re getting for their cash.”
Prices for some Easter eggs have increased by up to 50% since 2024, according to Which? magazine. One egg he reviewed last year for £100 now costs £225, a jump he attributes to rising ingredient costs.
While he jokes that “normal people” wouldn’t dream of buying £85 eggs, his audience is keen to know whether these pricey options are actually worth it. He insists that his reviews are not about indulgence, but awareness.
Importantly, D’Souza doesn’t let the chocolate go to waste—he donates leftovers to his family and children from low-income backgrounds. “My sister works with underprivileged kids, and I make sure they get some joy too,” he added.
