Just hours after former US President Donald Trump warned of severe bombings over nuclear negotiations, Iran has reportedly mobilized its missile forces. According to Tehran Times, the country’s military has positioned launch-ready missiles capable of targeting US-affiliated locations worldwide.
“A vast number of these missiles are secured in fortified underground bunkers spread across Iran, specifically designed to endure aerial attacks,” the report claimed.
On Sunday, speaking to NBC News, Trump issued a stern ultimatum. “If they refuse an agreement, they will face bombings like never before,” he declared. In addition to military threats, he hinted at reinstating secondary sanctions on Iran and its trade partners, stating a final decision would be made in the coming weeks based on Tehran’s actions.
Tehran Times reported that Iran’s armed forces have taken proactive measures in response to Trump’s warnings, ensuring missile readiness amid escalating tensions.
During his presidency, Trump withdrew from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), which had curbed Tehran’s nuclear program in exchange for economic relief. Now, he insists negotiations remain possible—if Iran commits to new restrictions.
Iran’s recently elected President, Masoud Pezeshkian, dismissed direct talks with Washington but acknowledged Oman-mediated indirect discussions may proceed. “We do not oppose diplomacy. However, they must first restore trust, as their past betrayals created setbacks,” he stated on state television.
With both nations unwilling to back down, the confrontation intensifies.
