A massive piece of social media history is now up for grabs—Twitter’s12-foot-tall blue bird logo, which once adorned the company’s San Francisco headquarters, is on auction.
The giant sign was removed after Elon Musk rebranded Twitter as X, marking the end of an era. Now stored in San Francisco, the logo is attracting bids starting at $21,664, according to RR Auction. Bidding closes on March 20.
Shipping & Logistics
Potential buyers should factor in additional shipping costs, as the logo measures 12 feet by 8 feet and weighs 254kg. A crane and several workers were required to dismantle it, as seen in a YouTube video linked to the auction listing.
Past Twitter Memorabilia Sales
This isn’t the first time a “Larry” logo—as former Twitter employees nicknamed it—has hit the auction block. Following Musk’s 2022 takeover, several Twitter office items were auctioned off in 2023. A smaller bird statue sold for $100,000, while another large logo was also purchased, though the price was undisclosed.
With bidding still open, will this iconic Twitter relic fetch an even higher price?
