A video of a disturbing conversation between a taxi driver and a woman in Dubai has gone viral, sparking outrage on social media. In the video, the driver asks the woman sexually explicit and inappropriate questions, including inquiries about her personal life and sexual experiences. The woman, identified as Nsa Thomas, expressed how uncomfortable she felt during the encounter.

Thomas clarified that the cab was not from Dubai’s official Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) or the emirate-based taxi service, Careem, but rather from an unofficial, random taxi she boarded in Deira. She shared the footage on Instagram with the caption: “Not RTA/Careem taxi, just those random taxis we boarded from Deira.”

Although NDTV could not independently verify the authenticity of the video, it has caused a stir on social media, with users criticizing the use of illegal taxis. One user suggested, “Why are you entering illegal taxis? This is why the police made them illegal.” Another Emirati user expressed regret about the incident, urging the woman to file a formal complaint with the police, highlighting that such behavior is not typical of legitimate services like Uber or RTA taxis.

The post has garnered significant attention, accumulating over 1,700 likes and nearly 500,000 views, with many expressing their support for Thomas and advising her to report the driver to authorities.
