Doug Emhoff, husband of US Vice President Kamala Harris, has tested positive for Covid-19, according to a statement from his office. Emhoff’s Communications Director, Liza Acevedo, announced on Sunday that he tested positive on Saturday after experiencing mild symptoms.
Acevedo mentioned that Emhoff is fully vaccinated and has received three booster shots. Despite testing positive, he is currently asymptomatic, working remotely, and isolating at home.
“As a precautionary measure, Vice President Harris was tested for Covid-19 yesterday and received a negative result. She remains asymptomatic,” Acevedo stated.
Emhoff was recently seen at the White House during the Independence Day celebration, standing near Harris, President Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden.
