Nepal: Khagendra Thapa Magar, who secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the world’s shortest man, passed away at the age of 27 years, on Friday, January 17.
According to the family, Thapa was suffering from pneumonia and died in a hospital in Nepal after failing to respond to the treatment.
Speaking to a global news agency, Thapa’s brother said that he was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia, but at the same time, even his heart was affected, leading to his demise.
It can be recalled that Thapa was registered in the Guinness Book of Records for being the world’s shortest man who could walk. His was just 67.08 cms tall.
