World backs India: Operation Sindoor gets rare global green light
India’s daring cross-border retaliation under Operation Sindoor has not only dismantled terrorist strongholds but also garnered rare and decisive international support. For once, major world powers such as the US, UK, France, Israel, and the Netherlands have endorsed India’s right to self-defence—setting aside routine calls for restraint typically seen during Indo-Pak escalations.
This shift comes after the horrific April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. Global leaders have unequivocally condemned the incident, attributing responsibility to Pakistan-based groups and recognising India’s growing diplomatic stature and security concerns.
UK Foreign Minister called the attack “outrageous” and urged Islamabad to act against homegrown terror. Former PM Rishi Sunak and MP Priti Patel echoed strong support for India’s sovereign right to dismantle threats.
France joined in, condemning the Pahalgam strike and standing by India’s counter-terror stance. The French Foreign Office underscored India’s right to protect its citizens.
Israel made its backing crystal clear. Its ambassador to India declared there’s no refuge for terrorists and fully endorsed India’s actions.
Netherlands MP Geert Wilders took to X, asserting “Kashmir is 100% Indian” and tagging #PakistanBehindPahalgam—leaving no ambiguity in his position.
United States Congressman Shri Thanedar reinforced that terror must face consequences and openly supported India’s retaliatory measures.
This rare alignment among powerful democracies signals a seismic shift in global narratives, firmly recognising India’s right to act decisively against terror.
