Adulterated milk sold in Yadgir?

Yadgir: Food inspectors in Yadgir jumped into action and checked milk vans after unusual sales figure of milk was reported in the district on Thursday, July 7.

According to sources, the district which sees 40,000 litres being sold every day saw a sale of 1 lakh litres of milk just ahead of Ramzan. The food inspectors suspect that such a quantitative jump is not possible unless there is some kind of adulteration in the milk.

The food inspectors conducted raids on all popular milk brands. Several milk vans that were entering the district including those of Nandini milk were checked. Some of the milk packets have also been sent to food lab for checking.
