In a move aimed at enhancing in-car connectivity and convenience, Hyundai Motor India has expanded the availability of its wired-to-wireless adapter to six additional models. Initially introduced with the Alcazar in April 2025, the adapter allows users to enjoy wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, eliminating the need for physical USB connections. Priced at ₹4,499, the adapter is compatible with select infotainment systems in Hyundai’s lineup.

New models receive the wireless upgrade

According to Hyundai, the newly supported models include the Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Verna, Aura, Venue, and Venue N Line. All six models are now compatible with the wired-to-wireless adapter, provided they are equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This development significantly enhances the driving experience by reducing cable clutter and simplifying smartphone connectivity for navigation, music, and hands-free communication.

Broader rollout planned

Hyundai has also confirmed that the adapter will soon be available for other popular models in its portfolio. These include the Creta, Creta N Line, Creta Electric, i20, i20 N Line, and the premium Tucson SUV. The company has not specified a timeline for this broader rollout but indicated that it is part of its continued commitment to delivering connected car experiences.

Limitations based on infotainment size

It’s important to note that the wired-to-wireless adapter is exclusively compatible with Hyundai cars that feature the 10.25-inch infotainment display. Vehicles with the smaller 8-inch touchscreen already offer native wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and therefore do not require the adapter.

Focus on smart mobility

This move aligns with Hyundai India’s broader strategy of enhancing vehicle technology and user-centric features. As Indian car buyers increasingly seek tech-savvy vehicles, automakers are responding with upgrades in infotainment, safety, and connectivity.

Hyundai’s initiative is likely to appeal to urban and tech-forward consumers who prioritise convenience and seamless integration of their mobile ecosystems while driving. The wired-to-wireless adapter provides a simple plug-and-play solution without the need to replace or upgrade the entire infotainment system.
