Tesla has officially opened its first experience centre in Bengaluru, marking another major step in the electric vehicle maker’s expansion in India.

The new facility has been launched in Whitefield, one of Bengaluru’s biggest technology and business hubs.

Model Y and Model Y L showcased

Tesla said customers visiting the centre will be able to experience the Tesla Model Y and the newly introduced Tesla Model Y L.

The company announced that the Model Y L has been priced starting at Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

According to Tesla, the six-seater SUV offers a driving range of up to 681 kilometres under WLTP standards and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in around five seconds.

Focus on after-sales support

Tesla also confirmed the launch of an after-sales service network in Whitefield to strengthen customer support in Bengaluru as interest in electric mobility continues to rise in India.

The company stated that the Model Y L offers cargo space of up to 2,539 litres along with a three-row seating configuration aimed at family users.

Tesla added that the vehicle has received high safety ratings from agencies including NHTSA, IIHS, Euro NCAP, and ANCAP.

Fast charging and home charging support planned

The company said Tesla Supercharging technology can add up to 288 kilometres of driving range in around 15 minutes.

Tesla also confirmed that home charging support will be made available for Indian customers to improve EV convenience and adoption.

Apart from Bengaluru, Tesla currently operates experience centres in Mumbai’s BKC, Delhi Aerocity, and Gurugram.
