Bengaluru: TVS Motor Company (TVSM) and BMW Motorrad have achieved a major milestone by rolling out 2,00,000 units under their decade-long strategic partnership. The landmark unit comes as production begins for the new BMW F 450 GS at TVSM’s Hosur manufacturing facility.
A decade of engineering collaboration
The Indo–German alliance, established in 2013, has developed several successful sub-500cc motorcycles that are now sold in over 100 markets. Speaking on the achievement, Mr. KN Radhakrishnan, Director & CEO of TVS Motor Company, highlighted the engineering synergy and shared values that have shaped the partnership.
He said the rollout of the new BMW F 450 GS—recently showcased at EICMA 2025—marks “the dawn of a new era” and reflects TVS Motor’s manufacturing excellence.
Global growth and future roadmap
BMW Motorrad CEO Mr. Markus Flasch described the partnership as an extraordinary success story. He noted that the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR have become pillars of BMW Motorrad’s global expansion. The launch of the BMW F 450 GS, he said, opens the next chapter of innovation for both companies.
Investments in next-gen mobility
Both companies are now working on new platforms and future-ready technologies, focusing on evolving customer needs across urban and premium mobility segments. The joint R&D initiatives aim to sustain the alliance’s strong reputation for quality, performance, and innovation.
