Artisera gallery presents Myth, Memory, Meaning, an evocative exhibition uniting four contemporary women artists—Ashu Gupta, Rakhee Shenoy, Smruthi Gargi Eswar, and Sukanya Garg. Their creative expressions are grounded in storytelling, weaving through mythology, emotion, memory, and the physical self.

Despite thematic similarities, each artist brings a distinct visual approach—ranging from painting and illustration to mixed media and textile. The exhibition celebrates the diversity of their mediums and the layered narratives they explore.

Ashu Gupta, 39, a graduate from NIF Global Raipur, describes her artistic journey as deeply introspective. Her work features painstakingly detailed patterns and stippling techniques that evolve into meditative images—such as delicate birds or human hands engaged in simple gestures. One striking piece depicts a woman’s head formed entirely of floating eyes, while another portrays a figure dissolving into embroidered pixels.

For Ashu, her art draws attention to the often-overlooked elements of daily life. “In our routine existence, we tend to miss the interplay of complexity and simplicity that exists within nature and our surroundings,” she reflects.

The exhibition not only showcases the artists’ individual styles but also how myth and memory continue to influence modern art practices. It encourages viewers to engage with layered meanings, introspection, and symbolic expression—reminding us that storytelling remains a timeless, powerful force in visual art.
