Bengaluru: Step into any of Bengaluru’s top malls this Diwali, and you’re instantly transported into a world of light, colour, and imagination. From shimmering domes that mimic the rising sun to immersive tunnels bathed in shifting hues, this year’s festive décor transcends sparkle — it tells stories of tradition, technology, and togetherness.

Mantri Square’s golden grandeur

At Mantri Square Mall, the celebrations shine with grandeur. The sprawling atrium is decked with glistening installations, golden chandeliers, and floral arches that seamlessly blend contemporary design with festive nostalgia.

Every corner gleams with motifs of prosperity and joy, mirroring the city’s festive pulse. The décor captures the essence of Diwali’s radiance — a visual treat that draws shoppers and visitors alike into its glowing embrace.

Nexus Select Malls go interactive

At Nexus Select Malls, design takes a distinctly experiential turn. Steering away from traditional themes, the group has embraced minimalism and technology to create interactive, photogenic experiences.

“We made a conscious choice to move away from the pure-play traditional Diwali décor and thematic setups. Instead, we’re curating immersive experiences that the city has not witnessed before,” says Nishank Joshi, Chief Marketing Officer, Nexus Select Malls.

Across its four properties, light merges with motion, digital projections, reflective surfaces, and interactive AR backdrops — turning festive décor into an evolving experience. The installations are dynamic and fluid, designed to appeal to both families and younger audiences who seek Instagram-worthy moments alongside festive warmth.

Phoenix Marketcity’s glowing spectacle

If Nexus represents minimalism, Phoenix Marketcity Bengaluru celebrates spectacle. Its centrepiece, The Festival Sphere, is a 25-foot-high geodesic dome made entirely from LED lights and layered acrylic panels.

Throughout the day, the structure transforms with programmable lighting — shifting from soft golden warmth to iridescent hues. The installation’s sunray detailing and kaleidoscopic glow create a mesmerising ode to Diwali’s timeless message of light triumphing over darkness.

Art meets light at Phoenix Mall of Asia

At Phoenix Mall of Asia, Diwali décor turns into large-scale art. The plaza has been transformed into a galaxy of glowing environments with installations like Echoes, Tunnel of Colour, Dreamscape, and Chasing Stars.

Each tells a unique visual story — Echoes captures the shimmering dance of the aurora; Tunnel of Colour surrounds visitors with responsive beams that shift as they walk; Dreamscape offers the sensation of strolling through a constellation; while Chasing Stars fills the air with radiant arcs that mimic meteors.

“This year’s décor at Phoenix Mall of Asia is a luminous journey through art and imagination,” says Ritu Mehta, Centre Director. “Each element is designed to inspire wonder and connection.”

A city glowing with creativity

Together, Bengaluru’s malls have turned festive design into a creative canvas — merging artistry, technology, and community spirit. Whether it’s Mantri Square’s golden grandeur, Nexus’s interactive minimalism, or Phoenix’s luminous installations, each venue offers a distinct interpretation of Diwali’s essence: light, joy, and renewal.

As visitors flow through these glowing spaces, Bengaluru’s malls reaffirm that the festival of lights is as much about innovation and imagination as it is about tradition.
